Alumnae Group Interviews

We held “Alumnae Group Interviews on the Education at Ochanomizu University” on September 22 and 30, 2012, with the following objectives:

  • (1) To examine the history of how our education has fostered female leaders, especially in the private sector
  • (2) To establish guidelines for our future education and social mission as a national women’s university by evaluating current female leadership education

With the cooperation of 38 graduates from the Kanto area working in private companies, governmental organizations, and nonprofit organizations, we held round-table talks to discuss certain themes (listed below) in small groups. We will take into account the proposals made and reform our female leadership education into one more aligned with the needs of the time.

Specific themes: Employment and career development, Role models, Experience of studying at Ochanomizu University, Role of female leadership education, How to promote global education, Ochanomizu University as a place for continuing education

Alumnae Life Course Surveys

With the objective of obtaining statistical data about the life courses of our graduates, in order to improve operation and education at the University, we conducted a survey in January 2009, of those who have completed the undergraduate and graduate courses of Tokyo Women’s Higher Normal School and Ochanomizu University. The questionnaire includes multiple questions about details of the graduates’ work life, family life, and social activities after graduation.
