Welcome
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are very pleased to announce the 7th Bilateral Seminar Italy-Japan (7th BSIJ-2016)entitled
Physical and Chemical Impacts on Marine Organisms:
emerging hazards and strategies for saving the oceans
which will be held at Minamiboso, Chiba, Japan, 29 November – 2 December 2016.
The BSIJ is a consolidated meeting co-organized and sponsored by CNR and JSPS in the frame of the Bilateral Agreement of Scientific and Technological Cooperation between Italy and Japan. As usual, Italian and Japanese experts investigating the effect of environmental impacts on marine organisms will gather together in a friendly atmosphere to report the results of their research, discuss and exchange information.
The BSIJ 2016 will be in memory of Dr. Valeria Matranga (1954-2016), who was firmly convinced of the importance of the Italian-Japanese collaboration. She enthusiastically organized the previous six Bilateral Seminars (2004-2014), since she strongly believed in the role that they have in aggregating scientists from both countries and disseminating science. The memory of her passion for research, her enthusiasm and determination in dealing successfully with each new challenge will remain forever in our mind.
