Main aspect of the program

-Ochadai Academic Production
　As we provide self-supported research environments to young researchers, we set up an organization called "Ochadai Academic Production". The organization directory belongs to the board of directors and is consisted with the president, the other board members, the professors from Advanced Interdisciplinary Research Section of Graduate School of Humanities and Sciences, the Program-Specific Assistant Professors (Assistant Professors) who have been internationally recruited, and the Program-Specific Research Fellows (Research Fellows). The Assistant Professors will take a leadership role in the research and creatively proceed with them. The university maintain environment to take away any factors which narrow their research to only their specialized fields.

-Working system with Advanced Interdisciplinary Research Section of the Graduate School
　Our graduate school was reorganized in April 2007. Under the new structure, almost all of the professors are affiliated to the Graduate School. Also we changed its name to "The Graduate School of Humanities and Sciences" and concentrated our main fields of study as a university to "Advanced Interdisciplinary Research Section". This enabled the Assistant Profesors who have been recruited under this program to work with the researchers in the section. They are given a research environment where they can work subjectively without feeling isolated.

-Producing researchers who have teaching and organizational skills
　To produce researchers eligible for tenure-track professors, this program has a system which develops teaching and organizational skills as well as improves research skills.
　The assistant professors will learn practical teaching methods through teaching lessons at the graduate school and the university under the coaching of their relevant fields' professors. They will also learn how to give lectures in English during the teaching lessons.
　Furthermore, in this program, each Assistant Professor will be allocated to one of the postdoctoral research fellows ("the Program-Specific Research Fellows") and gain management skills such as running a laboratory through the team work with them.

-Fostering female researchers
　Four of the 9 Assistant Professors are female and including them, this program is expected to be a great contribution to improve internationally competent research abilities of our students who will be the next generation's female researchers.

　This program fosters young researchers who challenge new fields to become competent for tenure track professors through pursuing research under the self-supported research environment.
