Research conducted by Professor Ikuko Gyobu (Human Sciences Division, Faculty of Core Research), entitled "Practical Research on Early Childhood Education for Sustainability Through ‘Food' Experiences: Focusing on ‘Millet Rice' as a Material for Considering the Future of ‘Food'," which was funded by the Institute for SDGs Promotion in FY2024, has developed into a joint project with the Ochanomizu University Center for Early Childhood Education and Care (Kodomo-en) and Best Amenity Co., Ltd.
An article on the "Children's Millet Festival" (Kodomo Zakkoku Matsuri), hosted by Bunkyo City Ochanomizu University Kodomo-en on Sunday, September 14, was published in the September 17, 2025 issue of the Tokyo Shimbun.

The Institute for SDGs Promotion provides research grants to support individual research, joint research with scholars both within and outside the university, and collaborative research with companies and other institutions. Through this program, the Institute aims to identify research initiatives that advance the university's SDGs efforts and to promote research and educational activities that contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
