Since 2005, the Center has provided pre-arrival orientation for new international students through distance learning. Orientation for new international students including cross-cultural training is normally held after they arrive in Japan, however, international students may be anxious before their departure or after they first arrive at the airport. Therefore, we have prepared a pre-arrival orientation program available via e-mail or the internet. All incoming international students are able to access the online orientation program including cross-cultural training one month before they arrive in Japan.
Orientation for international students who have just arrived is held in April or October.
International students can take foreign language courses as part of their core curriculum.
This class provides students with the opportunities to learn Japanese at a level appropriate to them, and in a variety of subjects, so that they can make the most out of their academic studies. The classes, elementary to advanced, consist of 1 to 4 lessons per week. These classes are not available as credited classes.
