Visit to Yokohama Municipal Minami High School

On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, two members of the OCHA-SDGs Student Committee's Plant-Based Project visited Yokohama Municipal Minami High School.
Minami High School actively promotes inquiry-based learning with a focus on the SDGs. During the visit, the committee members learned about the activities of two student groups: four 10th-grade students conducting research on plant-based topics, and two 11th-grade students working to introduce plant-based lunch options in their school cafeteria.
The OCHA-SDGs Student Committee members shared insights from their own project, particularly regarding the development of plant-based menus for the Ochanomizu University Co-op cafeteria. This exchange provided a valuable opportunity to share perspectives beyond the university and to engage in meaningful discussion with the high school students.
The committee intends to build on the insights gained through this visit in its future activities.
