Plant-based food menus we developed with Ochas were sold at the Co-op cafeteria [Part 5].
(written by Plant-based Food Promotion PJ, OCHA-SDGs Student Committee)
From Monday, December 16 to Friday, December 20, we devised a plant-based food menu designed with Ochas and sold in cooperation with the Co-op cafeteria.
Plant-Based Food Menu Devised by OCHA-SDGs Student Committee Members Sold at the Co-op Cafeteria 【Part 5】 | お茶の水女子大学
This time, for the fifth sale, we introduced Almond Milk Pumpkin Soup, a renewed version of Rice Milk Pumpkin Soup (originally sold during the first sale), which had been very popular from the start.
132 meals were sold over the five-day period, and we received a high response, with all meals sold out on all days.
In order to improve the menu for sale, we opened a tasting session, which had previously been held by project members (student committee and Ochas), to the university's officials. About 20 Ochanomizu University students, faculty, and staff who gathered as a result of the recruitment process attended the event and provided feedback on the selection of the three plant-based milks and the spices used for seasoning.
At the tasitng session, there were positive feedback from the participants, such as “I enjoyed it very much” and “I would definitely participate if there is another similar opportunity”. It made us believe that we could conduct a very good opportunity to obtain honest opinions in cfreating a new plant-based menu.
During the sales period, about 90 people, mostly students, responded to a questionnaire board we placed at the entrance of the Co-op cafeteria.
We will continue to incorporate student feedback and make every effort to further develop this activity. The results of this sale and the purchaser survey will be used as reference in discussions with the Co-op for future offerings.
Thank you very much for your purchase and cooperation. We look forward to your continued support.
