Report on the on-campus public lecture "Artist Thinking and Social Innovation”(J)

On Tuesday, October 10, 16:40〜18:10 (JST), the second session of Avanade Endowed Lecture Series was open to all Ochanomizu University students as an on-campus public lecture at the Multipurpose Hall on the 2nd floor of the Hisao & Hiroko TAKI PLAZA.

The title of the open lecture was "Artist Thinking and Social Innovation" and was presented by Prof. Eric Masanobu-Matsunaga, Dean of School of Global Studies and Collaboration, Aoyama Gakuin University.

Prof. Eric Matsunaga has had a career in many of the world's leading IT companies and is also a musician.

He is a professor who has a close relationship with Avanade Co. and he spoke about the importance of  "pain empathy," which is the ability to understand the emotional suffering of others as one's own, in leading the world (society) issues to being solved through IT technology.

The event was attended by many Ocha-dai students and faculty members as well as students of the endowed course, and was a great success. Thank you very much for your participation.
