Plant-Based Food Menu Devised by OCHA-SDGs Student Committee Members Sold at the Co-op Cafeteria 【Part 4】

OCHA-SDGs Student Committee members have created plant-based food menus with Ochas (the official club of the university), and two new items are now on the menu. They will be sold at the Student Co-op Cafeteria Marche, as in the previous year.

The limited quantity will be sold during lunch hours (10:30-13:30) for five days from July 22 (Mon.) to 26 (Fri.).

  •  Chilled Soy Milk Udon with Summer Vegetables (503kcal, limited to 72 servings/day)
  •  Stir-fried Soy Meat and Summer Vegetables with Miso (143kcal, limited to 36 servings/day)

All three products sold for three different periods of time (*see below) so far have been almost sold out. In a survey of purchasers tallied in February of this year, we received positive feedback in terms of health benefits and taste, in addition to requests that the university Co-op Cafeteria continue to offer the food in the future.

This is a good opportunity to incorporate plant-based ingredients that take into account greenhouse gas reduction and food issues as a familiar dietary option. We hope that this initiative will make more students aware of these environmental and social issues as "co-participants".

*If you have actually tried the food, please fill out the questionnaire board located at the entrance of the Co-op cafeteria. We will discuss with the Co-op for future offerings based on your feedback.
