(FY2024) Report on Food Drive around the University Campus

2024年12月16日更新

Food Drive FY2024 was held in the University
(written by Food Drive PJ, OCHA-SDGs Student Committee)

We held a food drive on the university campus from Monday, December 2 to Friday, December 13, 2024.

A food drive is an activity that collects unused food from households and delivers it to those in need.

The University holds a food drive jointly with its affiliated schools. All food collected is donated to Second Harvest Japan (NPO).

This year, we confirmed that 140 pieces of foodstuffs, weighing approximately 37 kg, were gathered in the university, and including those from affiliated schools, 724 pieces of foodstuffs, weighing approximately 125 kg, were collected in total.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those who cooperated and showed interest and concern.

In the coming year and beyond, we are going to continue our food drive activities, placing importance on the concept of  “sharing what we have,” in which food items should be selected with the recipient's consideration in mind.
