On September 24, 2024, Institute for SDG Promotion held an international conference (“Sustainable Healthy Diets to Save the World”) with Taipei Medical University at Hisao&Hiroko TAKI PLAZA, Ochanomizu University.

We invited fourteen professors from Taipei Medical University, our partner university, to this event to exchange knowledge on “sustainable and healthy food” mainly through lectures by Professor Rong-Hung Hsieh (Dean of College of Nutrition) and Professor So-King Yang (Vice Dean of College of Nutrition).
From our university, Professor Yasujiro Morimitsu (Division of Nutrition and Food Science, Faculty of Human Life and Environmental Science) and Ms. Hiroka Sato (Food and Nutritional Sciences, Life Sciences, Doctoral Program 2nd Grade) presented their research.
As many as 49 people attended the event, and each presentation was followed by a lively question and answer session.
Four poster presentations were also displayed in the Commons on the second floor of Hisao&Hiroko TAKI PLAZA, and comments were given by professors from Taipei Medical University. The titles of the poster presentations and presenters are as follows:

After the conference, Professors from Taipei Medical University and Ochanomizu University faculty members had a lunch meeting to discuss their research fields and food culture of the two countries in a friendly atmosphere.
Institute for SDGs Promotion, Ochanomizu University and the College of Nutrition, Taipei Medical University have been promoting collaboration on the Sustainable Development Goals since 2022(※) based on Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) we exchanged in the year, and we believe we have strengthened the partnership between the two universities by hosting this year's conference again.
