The Tokyo Shimbun on Friday, November 1, 2024 introduced a food education event “Enjoying Food” held on Thursday, October 17, 2024 by Bunkyo-ku Municipal Ochanomizu University Center for Early Childhood Education and Care.

Children at the Center cooked to complete the SUMASHI-jiru (clear soup), making Onigiri (rice balls) whose rice was mixed with minor grains and cooked. We hope that the children will develop a more delicate sense of taste by learning in advance about the 16 types of minor grains that enhance health benefits and by tasting the homemade food with all the people together.

This program was led by the former head of the Center, Project Professor Akemi Miyasato from Ochanomizu University.

Institute for SDGs Promotion aims to widely outreach the knowledge of Project Professor Miyazato and other the University's researchers specializing in childcare and early childhood development to society through supporting the activities of Childcare Management Research Association (保育マネジメント研究会). *Click here to read the article.

We will continue to actively support initiatives outside of the institute that can contribute to achieving the SDGs. Please kindly continue your favors toward us.
