OCHA-SDGs Student Committee Members Participated in "Cool Earth Fair 2023" (Bunkyo City Office)
OCHA-SDGs Student Committee members exhibited at Cool Earth Fair 2023 held at the Bunkyo City Office on Friday, August 4.

Cool Earth Fair is an annual event held by Bunkyo City Office with the theme of global warming countermeasures. Each participating organization introduced their businesses that consider environmental impact or exhibited their panel with the intention of spreading enviromnetal awareness to the general public.

This year, in addition to private companies, public offices, and public enterprises, which have participated in the fair in previous years, universities in Bunkyo City, the University of Tokyo, Toyo University, and Bunkyo Gakuin University also exhibited.

OCHA-SDGs Student Committee joined Cool Earth Fair and completed their exhibition by discussing contents with the students from the University of Tokyo and Toyo University, with whom we have been in close contact on a daily basis as university collaboration within Bunkyo City.
Visitors to the exhibition wrote numerous messages on the "Cool Earth Clock" (created by OCHA-SDGs Student Committee) about their daily efforts to reduce CO2 emissions.
Although it may be difficult to significantly reduce CO2 emissions with only modest efforts by ordinary citizens, we will make use of the awareness of the public raised in this way in our future student activities.
