Announcement: Sustainability Week 2025
(Co-hosted by Ochanomizu University, The University of Tokyo, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Osaka University, and others)

Sustainability Week 2025 will be held from Monday, June 16, to Saturday, June 21, 2025. This marks the second year of this inter-university collaboration. The event is co-organized by student organizations from multiple universities, with the OCHA-SDGs Student Committee coordinating activities at Ochanomizu University.

Most activities will take place on the Ochanomizu University campus, while the final day’s event will be held at the Komaba Campus of the University of Tokyo. The week provides an opportunity to explore sustainability-related themes through a variety of student-led initiatives.

In advance of Sustainability Week, the “SDGs Book Project” exhibition began on June 4. With the cooperation of the University Library, books selected by members of the OCHA-SDGs Student Committee are displayed in the New Arrivals section. Handmade “POP” display cards created by students accompany the exhibition.

In addition, a plant-based food exhibition will be held at the cafeteria, and the “Oyuzuri Fes” (Giveaway Festival), which has been well received by Ochanomizu University students, will take place in the plaza in front of the library.

A music event is also scheduled for the afternoon of the final day (June 21) at the Komaba Campus of the University of Tokyo.
