Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. (Collaborative Research Program)

Mitsui Fudosan and Ochanomizu University have established a comprehensive agreement regarding the promotion of industry–academia collaboration with the aim to help realize a society in which women can demonstrate their individuality and abilities. This collaboration also intends to resolve social issues based on the concept of gendered innovations using the resources of both parties and collaborations in research, human resource development, and social communications (news release).

Collaborative Research Program
Focusing on women’s entrepreneurship, this collaborative program supports gendered innovation studies, disseminates information to promote the concept of gendered innovations, and implements gendered innovations in society. Women’s entrepreneurship is on the rise and may hold the seeds for new innovations. This program will examine the characteristics of female entrepreneurs, particularly their work–life balance, relation with life events, and required support. It will also apply research outcomes for entrepreneurship support and new architecture and urban planning that suits the work and life of women entrepreneurs.
