Professor Rie Akamatsu Participates in International Symposium at Taipei Medical University

Professor Rie Akamatsu, a Research Fellow at this Institute, participated in an international symposium hosted by Taipei Medical University.

During the symposium, Professor Akamatsu delivered a presentation on research commissioned by Yokohama City, studies related to the sale of nutritionally balanced bento boxes, and the outcomes of the “Ocha Eco Bento” initiative, a food loss reduction program implemented at Ochanomizu University.

Ochanomizu University and Taipei Medical University concluded an international exchange agreement in 2018. Furthermore, in 2022, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Institute for SDGs Promotion and TMU’s College of Nutrition to promote collaboration on the Sustainable Development Goals.

Since then, the two institutions have been advancing collaborative SDGs-related research through initiatives such as the exchange of visiting researchers, the planning of joint research projects, and the joint organization of international seminars.
