Institute's Food Loss Reduction Activities Featured in MAFF Web Magazine “aff”(October 2025 Issue)

Food loss reduction activities undertaken by the OCHA-SDGs Student Committee were introduced in the October 2025 issue of “aff,” a web magazine published by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF).

The October 2025 issue of “aff” includes a special feature on food loss reduction. Under the theme “Focus on University Students' Projects for Reducing Food Loss,” the initiatives of this Institute and the OCHA-SDGs Student Committee are presented as Case 3.

The article highlights the following initiatives:
・Implementation of food drives within the university campus, including affiliated schools
・Sale of “Ocha Eco Bentos,” lunch boxes made from unsold cafeteria food.
・Publication of food loss reduction recipes (1, 2) developed by the OCHA-SDGs Student Committee on the Seven Premium “Kenja no Recipes”
・Hosting of an exchange meeting on the effective utilization of residue from dried potato production
